SUBEB, Katsina State Shortlist Many Candidates For Screening For Its Basic Education Schools Teaching Subject Areas

The Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the state government have shortlisted thousands of candidates who submitted all the mentioned requirements during the concluded online application. All candidates shortlisted for all the advertised teaching jobs have been invited for screening, interviews and examinations to assess whether they are qualified and experienced in the subject areas they were shortlisted in.

It is important to note that the government of Katsina State will be recruiting about 5,095 primary school teachers once its screening of credentials, interviews and recruitment examination has been successfully conducted and concluded across the 34 local government areas in the state.

So, all applicants or candidates in all the 34 L.G.A who applied for the yet-concluded Katsina State SUBEB for 2022 and 2023 are advised to check the list released by the government to see if they have been shortlisted, although not all applicants made the Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) recruitment list.

KATSINA STATE SUBEB: FURTHER RECRUITMENT PROCESS

All candidates will be invited to a screening exercise, where they will be asked to present all the documents uploaded during the 2022/2023 concluded online application.

During this screening process, their original documents will be screened and checked to see if they really submitted authentic documents.

Thereafter, those who passed their teaching screening assessments will be communicated on dates through the Katsina State official portal: http://www.katsinasubeb.gov.ng/, informing them of when to report for the respective oral interview and examination.

KATSINA STATE SUBEB SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

• All shortlisted candidates in all the 34 local government areas MUST come with the original certificate of either NCE, B. Ed, B.Sc. Ed, or B.A. Ed, including their O’Level (WASSCE, NECO or GCE) result certificates.

• They are to come along with the originals of the following documents such as a certificate of state of origin, a government hospital medical report certified by a medical practitioner and a certificate of birth or declaration of age.

• All shortlisted candidates must come along with proof to show that they are registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and this is for those who have a TRCN certificate in their possession.

• They are to come along with their passport photographs, their shortlisted printout and other supporting documents.

All shortlisted candidates whose names were listed in any of the teaching areas they applied for MUST report alongside all the documents listed above on the day of the Katsina State SUBEB screening exercise.

UPDATE FOR APPLICANTS WHO WERE NOT SHORTLISTED 

Several errors might prevent applicants from being shortlisted for any of the ongoing Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) teaching jobs recruitment exercises.

During the conclusion of Katsina State SUBEB’s online application, however, information was gathered that many online applications were not filled out correctly and accurately

Also, some applicants uploaded scanned copies of their original WASSCE, NECO, and GCE results that did not meet the five (5) credit passes and these issues may have prevented them from being shortlisted.

All applicants who were not considered due to the reasons above are advised not to feel rejected as now the reason why they were not shortlisted has been pointed out.

The Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) encourages them to note where they defaulted to avoid repeating the same mistake just in case the government announces another primary school teacher recruitment exercise shortly.

Has SUBEB Katsina State Shortlisted Successful Candidates For Screening For 2025/2026?

No. The government of Katsina State in conjunction with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has not started recruitment of primary school teachers for the year 2025/2026.

With this information, the public should note that the recruitment PDF shortlist or list of shortlisted candidates for 2025 has not yet been released/announced/published by the Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) through its official recruitment portal: http://www.katsinasubeb.gov.ng/.
