Katsina State To Screen All SUBEB Successful Candidates, As Screening Dates, Time & Center Have Been Released

The Katsina State government and Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) have said that recruiting primary school teachers to fill in all the public schools across the 34 local government areas will boost and close the state’s lack of qualified and experienced teachers in the state. Now calling on all the shortlisted candidates to report for their screening, as dates for this exercise have been released on the state’s official recruitment portal.

It has been revealed, however, that the Katsina State government will recruit more than five thousand (5000) primary school teachers, according to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

To ensure management checks all the original credentials of shortlisted candidates and assesses them to truly determine if they qualify for the subject areas for which they were shortlisted, all shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a screening exercise.

So, all candidates across the 34 local government areas who applied for the 2022 and 2023 primary school teacher’s online application who got shortlisted by Katsina State SUBEB are advised to strictly comply with screening dates as the screening exercise will commence once is 08:00 AM.

Katsina State SUBEB Screening Update

The Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has officially made it open to the people of Katsina State that all candidates who were shortlisted will undergo screening assessments and documentation.

Kabir Magaji, the chairman of the SUBEB, has also said the recruitment of additional primary school teachers will fix the lack of qualified and experienced teachers in the state, and now calls on all shortlisted candidates to discharge their duties effectively.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

Certain documents will be submitted or presented to the Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) on screening day. These documents are the original credentials that are required from applicants during the 2022 and 2023 online applications.

All candidates must also come along with originals and photocopies of the following documents, such as:

• NCE, B. Ed, or B.Sc. Ed, or B.A. Ed

• O’Level (WASSCE, NECO or GCE) results

• A certificate of state of origin

• Government hospital-certified medical report for work

• Certificate of birth or declaration of age

• Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

• Passport photographs

• Shortlisted printout

• Other supporting documents.

To be considered for the Katsina State SUBEB screening and documentation, all candidates must bring with them the above documents.

The screening process or exercise will last three (3) days. As soon as this exercise is completed, SUBEB will conduct an oral interview to determine who will be hired for the advertised teaching positions.

Are Katsina State SUBEB Screening Dates Out for 2025/2026?

No. The 2025/2026 screening dates, times and centers for the recruiting of primary school teachers in all the public schools across the 34 local government areas by the government of Katsina State or the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) have not yet been released officially.

It is important to note that the public will be updated by the management of Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) as soon as the 2025/2025 screening schedules are announced.
