With respect to the Katsina State governor, Umar Dikko Radda’s immediate recruitment of the primary, junior and secondary school teachers which was conducted by the committee as instructed, the KATSINA STATE TEACHING SERVICE COMMISSION (TESCOM) has announced the release of the 2023 and 2024 teachers screening and interview dates, times and scheduled state recruitment centers for all successful or shortlisted candidates across the 34 local government areas who applied for any of the open teaching subject areas.

All applicants or candidates across the local government areas in the state are expected to have checked the status of their application by now to know if they are one of the shortlisted candidates.

It is important to note that the selection process for qualified and experienced teachers is currently ongoing, and all candidates are encouraged to strictly adhere to the Katsina State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) recruitment instructions and report on the scheduled dates, time and center so to avoid any hindrance or disqualification during the release of the recruitment final list.

Katsina State Government Teachers Screening Requirements

All candidates who filled out the Katsina State TESCOM recruitment application form during the yet-concluded 2023 and 2024 online application process and who got shortlisted are to report with the following documents listed below, which must be original copies on the day of the 2023 and 2024 teachers screening exercise.

• All candidates must come with their NCE, B. Ed., or B.Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed certificate

• Five (5) credit passes, O’Level (WASSCE, NECO or GCE) results.

• Candidates who are registered with the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) must come along with their certificate

• All candidates who possess either a B. Ed. or B.Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed certificate must come with their NYSC discharge certificate or an exemption letter

• All shortlisted candidates must report along with their certificate of birth or age declaration and certificate of state of origin or identification.

• All candidates who will be reporting for the Katsina State teachers’ recruitment screening must come with their shortlisted printout and passport photographs.

It is crucial to note that the committee will oversee all the documents listed above during the Katsina State teachers’ screening and interview exercises.

Has The Katsina State Government Released The Teachers’ Screening and Interview Dates for 2025/2026?

No. The screening or interview dates for the year 2025/2026 are presently unavailable at the moment due to the government of Katsina State, and the State’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has not begun recruitment for state school teachers.

The public and the people of Katsina State are to note that the 2025/2026 screening or interview dates, times, and centers can only be obtained on the state government’s official portal as soon as the government of Katsina State announces its plans to start recruiting school teachers for 2025.
