Katsina State TESCOM Announces The Release of Its Teachers Aptitude Examination Dates, Time and Center

Katsina State is currently in the process of recruiting 7,325 primary, junior and secondary school teachers who will be posted to public schools in all 34 local government areas. However, it is important to note that all successful candidates who applied on the tescom.katsinastate.gov.ng recruitment portal during the 2023 and 2024 teachers’ recruitment process and were selected during the shortlisting process are hereby notified.

On the state official portal, the management of Katsina State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has released the scheduled dates and time when the recruitment examination will commence including the location of the centers where shortlisted candidates are to report for this exercise have also been made available.

All successful candidates in the 34 local government areas in the state who will be sitting for this exam are all expected to be at the Katsina State teacher examination or computer-based test center at the latest by 07:00 AM, as the Katsina State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) management including the recruitment committee with commerce the teachers examination or CBT test once is 08:00 AM.

It is advised that all candidates must strictly attend the Katsina State teachers’ examination or computer-based recruitment test on the dates announced by TESCOM on the official website of the state.

Any of the shortlisted candidates who were not seen or those who fail to report on the dates released for this exercise will be disqualified as the management of the Katsina State Teaching Service Commission will not announce another date for candidates who do not show up on the dates released by the commission.

Are All Applicants Who Applied For The 2023 and 2024 Teaching Subject Areas Invited For The Katsina State TESCOM Aptitude Examination?

No, unfortunately, it is important to note that not all applicants who applied/filled out/submitted an application in any of the 2023 and 2024 teaching subject areas will be sitting for the Katsina State TESCOM recruitment examination.

The reason is that an unexpected number of applicants applied during the time of online application, but not all applicants were shortlisted because of a few reasons; however, it is important to note that some applicants were not shortlisted as their applications were not completed properly, while several applicants have WASSCE, NECO or GCE results that do not meet the minimum five (5) credit pass requirement.

But be that as it may, the Katsina State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced that the state government will be recruiting 7,325 teachers for primary and secondary schools out of the thousands of successful candidates whose names were shortlisted for 2023 and 2024.

So, those who do not find their names on the recruitment list at the time when the PDF list of shortlisted candidates for 2023 and 2024 is released on the tescom.katsinastate.gov.ng official portal are advised not to report on the day of the Katsina State teachers’ examination exercise.

All candidates in all the 34 local government areas are encouraged to come with their Pens, Pencils, Erasers, and any other stationery and shortlisted printout, including other relevant documents when reporting for the Katsina State teachers’ examination exercise.

Is The Katsina State TESCOM Aptitude Examination Date Out for 2025/2026?

No. The Katsina State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has yet to make the 2025/2026 recruitment examination dates available to the public through the state government’s official portal.

This is because the government of Katsina State has not yet disclosed or announced its plans for whether they will be recruiting primary and secondary schools for the year 2025, and the public is to note that the 2025/2026 recruitment schedules are not yet out at the moment.
