Have you ever applied for one of the teaching fields that the Jigawa State government advertised on the state official portal for the recruitment of suitable candidates for certain teaching positions within the State Teaching Service Commission? These candidates or teachers are those who were shortlisted for filling out their applications correctly and accurately and uploading the required documents before submitting them.
They will have to pass a screening of documents and also be screened by the board and management of the Teaching Service Commission to determine if they are eligible to teach any of the classroom subjects.
It is important to note that the board and management of the Teaching Service Commission, Jigawa State have stated that only candidates who are qualified, will be considered if they meet the recruitment criteria after successfully completing all of the teacher recruitment phases, including screening, computer-based testing, and interview.

For the selection of Jigawa State school teachers, the Teaching Service Commission will only release the screening date to the public and to all candidates whose personal information and documents have been submitted accurately and correctly.
If any of the candidates who are shortlisted do not pass these three (3) stages (screening, computer-based testing, and interview), TESCOM may disqualify them from reporting to further recruitment exercises.
All individuals in all the 27 local government areas shortlisted for more consideration must report to the center released by the Jigawa State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) with all the application screening requirements (all original documents).
For the purpose of selecting school teachers who are eligible to teach public school children in 27 local government areas of Jigawa State, the management has instituted a screening process, as well as other selection exercises (screening, computer-based testing, and interviews).
SCREENING CRITERIA

Those candidates whose names appear on Jigawa State TESCOM’s shortlist for teacher recruitment need to submit the originals of their academic certificates (B.Sc. Ed., NCE, B. Ed., B.A. Ed., or HND) as well as their respective first school-leaving certificates and (WASSCE, GCE or NECO).

It is expected that all shortlisted candidates with any of these degrees (B.Sc. Ed, NCE, B. Ed, B.A. Ed, or HND) will present the NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter to prove they have completed a one (1) year NYSC program.

Candidates must present the original copy of their certificate of birth or declaration of age, certificate of state of origin, passport photographs and a medical report.
